Good to know
Taking notes is hard! You’re trying to listen, understand, and write all at the same time. Some people write too much and can’t keep up, others write too little and miss important points. Finding your note-taking style takes experimentation. The goal isn’t perfect notes – it’s capturing enough to help you remember and study later.
What can help:
What to know
- Write main ideas and key words, not every single word
- Use abbreviations and symbols to write faster
- Review and fill in gaps right after class
- Try different methods (bullet points, mind maps, Cornell notes)
Your notes are for you – they don’t have to be perfect!
