First, know that you deserve help and support. Tell a trusted adult – parent, teacher, school counselor, or another family member. Be specific about what’s happening, when, and who’s involved. If the first adult doesn’t help, keep telling others until someone listens.
Avoid being alone with the person bullying you when possible. Stay near friends or adults. Document what’s happening by writing down dates, times, and what occurred. Keep text messages or screenshots if the bullying is online.
What can help:
What to know
- Tell multiple trusted adults until you get support
- Stay with friends or in supervised areas
- Keep evidence of bullying incidents
- Practice confident body language (even if you don’t feel confident)
- Join activities where you feel safe and valued
You are not alone, and this is not your fault. Speaking up is brave and the right thing to do.
